Wizard® Plus SV Minipreps Start-Up Kit

The Wizard® Plus SV Minipreps DNA Purification System, a silica membrane-based system, provides a simple and reliable method for rapid isolation of plasmid DNA. The entire miniprep procedure can be completed in 45 minutes or less, depending on the number of samples processed. Using the system, plasmid DNA can be purified from 1–10ml of overnight E. coli culture. The purified plasmid DNA meets a target of >98% accuracy over 500 bases using pGEM®-3Zf(+) Vector and can be used directly for automated fluorescent BigDye® terminator DNA sequencing as well as for other standard molecular biology techniques without further manipulation. It also can be used for in vitro transcription reactions when supplemented with a ribonuclease inhibitor such as Recombinant RNasin® Ribonuclease Inhibitor (Cat.# N2511).

Wizard® Plus SV Minipreps DNA Purification System allows a choice of centrifugation (spin) or vacuum-based methods for plasmid purification. Vacuum Adapters allow the use of a vacuum manifold and vacuum source for DNA purification.
